Marvel’s Spider-Man faced some stiff competition last year during the Game of the Year awards time, and though it ultimately couldn’t defeat Sony’s other first-party hit, God of War (2018), it still captured the hearts of many players, selling 13.2 million copies as of this writing and becoming the best-selling superhero game of all time. A recent leak from Amazon UK leaked the existence of a Game of the Year edition for Marvel’s Spider-Man, and while the listing provides no details, it can be assumed that this refresh will include all of the post game DLC that released last fall along with other extra suits like those inspired by Spider-Man: Far From Home. Sony is no stranger to rereleasing games after they’ve ceased being updated, having done so with the likes of Horizon: Zero Dawn through its complete edition that contained the main game and its paid DLC expansion, The Frozen Wilds. Though Sony has yet to confirm a Game of the Year edition for Marvel’s Spider-Man, it’s almost a sure bet that it will be a reality.
