The post-launch DLC for the sublime Marvel’s Midnight Suns has been dropping like clockwork each month, but it looks like players will have to wait just a little bit longer for the fourth and final additional character: Storm. The powerful weather controlling mutant will be added via an update starting on May 11th for Legendary Edition owners and Season Pass holders.
Storm arrives along with the appropriately titled final chapter “Blood Storm” and is the conclusion of the story that started with Deadpool’s arrival back in January. Unsuspecting orphans are falling victim to the machinations of Red Skull’s daughter, Sin, and the powerful Dracula who have been terrorizing the public with their new breed of bloodthirsty vampires. Storm joins the ranks of the Suns to stop their fiendish plot once and for all for both the sake of man and mutant alike.
Releasing with “Blood Storm” is the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Marvel’s Midnight Suns which will come to digital storefronts day-and-date with the concluding chapter. Like the version that has been out since December of last year on other machines, “Blood Storm” will be free to download with the Legendary Edition or for anyone who purchases the Season Pass on either of those devices.
Sadly, the once promised Nintendo Switch port of Marvel’s Midnight Suns was unceremoniously revealed to be cancelled in this announcement. Also, for those who still play on the last generation machines and were hoping to add a physical copy of the game to your shelf you’re also out of luck. Marvel’s Midnight Suns will only be sold digitally on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is available now on PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series S/X and PC. The last generation version arrives digitally on May 11th.
