MARVEL’S AVENGERS GOT A LOT OF PLAYTIME ON PS NOW DURING THE SPRING

PS Now, Sony’s somewhat answer to Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription service, has been home to Marvel’s Avengers since the sixth of April. In that time, it has produced some impressive numbers on PlayStation 4 and 5 as well as PC.

From the period starting at the beginning of March and ending on June 1st, Marvel’s Avengers was the most played game on PS Now on consoles. PS Now requires you to stream certain games on consoles – mostly those from the PlayStation 3 library – however for games released both on the PS4 and 5, players can choose to either download titles or stream them. The numbers for Marvel’s Avengers on consoles factors in both. On PC where you can only stream games on the PS Now service, Marvel’s Avengers ranked fourth behind Bloodborne, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us, all of which are first-party PlayStation franchises.

CONSOLES:

  • Marvel’s Avengers (available until July 5, 2021)
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III (previously available through April 29, 2021)
  • F1 2020 (not available in Japan)
  • WWE 2K19

PC:

  • Bloodborne
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • The Last of Us
  • Marvel’s Avengers
  • Detroit: Become Human

Marvel’s Avengers leaves PS Now on July 5th, which is just enough time to enjoy the Cosmic Cube villain sector which drops today on June 22nd. In it, players can battle the Scientist Supreme herself, Monica Rappaccini. In two days time on June 24th, the Cosmic Threat event also launches wherein players can take on Threat Sector missions with enhanced Cosmic Energy. This runs until July 8th.

For those who have enjoyed Marvel’s Avengers on PS Now, they might consider picking up the game in time for the War for Wakanda expansion that drops in the month of August. It will bring a whole new region to the game, not to mention the King of Wakanda himself, Black Panther.
