Throughout 2021, users of the PlayStation family of consoles have gotten a lot of free time with Marvel’s Avengers. The title was available on the PS Now service from the beginning of April to July 5th where it was the most played game on the service during that window, and then it enjoyed another free weekend at the end of month when it left. Xbox players thus far have been left somewhat in the cold, however starting in just a few days, they’ll have something to brag about.
Starting on September 30th, Marvel’s Avengers comes to Xbox Game Pass where it can be enjoyed on consoles, PC, and Cloud streaming at no extra charge provided you have a subscription to the service. For those who have managed to get their hands on either an Xbox Series S or X, they’ll automatically get the best version of Marvel’s Avengers via the Smart Delivery system.
Of course, the Xbox family of consoles won’t have access to Spider-Man sometime later this year, but this certainly takes away some of the sting from not getting the PlayStation exclusive character. For anyone who has been on the fence about even trying Marvel’s Avengers, there’s little reason not take advantage of this unless you’re a die-hard Spider-Man lover or only have a PlayStation.
Even if you have no interest in the ongoing Games as a Service aspect of Marvel’s Avengers, there’s plenty of single-player content between the main campaign, the Kate Bishop and Hawkeye Operations, plus the recently launched War for Wakanda expansion. On top of that, much work has been put into cleaning up the user interface for Marvel’s Avengers where menus that once existed across multiple screens are now condensed into one, easy to navigate page.
Marvel’s Avengers is available now for the PlayStation and Xbox family of consoles, Google Stadia, and PC.
