GOTHAM KNIGHTS FINALLY GETS A RELEASE DATE

When it was released in 2013, the WB Games Montreal developed Batman: Arkham Origins launched to a somewhat tepid reception. This was largely due to it living in the long shadow cast by Arkham series creator Rocksteady that would make even the Dark Knight himself afraid. But, as the years have rolled onwards, players have largely warmed up on Arkham Origins, with some even looking at it more favorably than even some of Rocksteady’s works. Especially the divisive Batman: Arkham Knight.

WB Games Montreal has mostly been silent since their first major DC Comics project, releasing only a Batgirl centric expansion for Batman: Arkham Knight. That doesn’t mean the studio wasn’t hard at work, however, as in 2020, their latest title, Gotham Knights, was revealed to the world. Set against a conflict between the Bat Family and the Court of Owls where Batman has been presumed dead, players can take control of Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood to protect the streets of Gotham City either alone or with a single co-operative partner.

Originally set to arrive in 2021, Gotham Knights was delayed into a nebulous 2022 release window. Finally, it was given a proper release date today: October 25th, 2022. In the meantime, you can collect the full wave of action figures from McFarlane Toys which are in stores now.

Gotham Knights arrives October 25th on the PlayStation and Xbox family of consoles as well as PC.
